It’s official: The plainclothes cop who gunned down unarmed church musician Corey Jones last month in Florida is out of a job.
The “employment status” of rogue officer Nouman Raja has been “under consideration” ever since the deadly October 18th confrontation, a spokesman for the city of Palm Beach Gardens said today.
Thus, as of November 11th, and following nearly a month of protests that the trigger-happy lawman was continuing to be paid, his position “has been terminated.”
Officer Raja has a spotty record in law enforcement, his personnel file reveals. The investigation into his fatal shooting of Corey Jones as the popular drummer was awaiting roadside assistance is still in progress.
